Game of Thrones Season 5 Promo Pictures

Coming of the release of the season 5 Trailer HBO has also released a batch of promo pictures for the upcoming season.  These photos showcase almost every fan favorite character from previous seasons, as well as giving us a look at some of the new characters to come in season 5.

Game of Thrones Season 5 Trailer!

After Thursday’s IMAX premiere of the season 5 trailer several low-res recordings started hitting the web.  But no longer do we have to deal with those, now that HBO has officially released the HD version on their Facebook page.

Game of Thrones Takes Home One SAG Award

The 21st Annual Screen Actors Guild award ceremony has just announced their winners, and Game of Thrones walked away with one win.  Game of Thrones was nominated for three categories this year:

• Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series – Peter Dinklage
• Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Comedy or Drama Series
• Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series

As always, or at least since 2012, the amazing stunt team of Game of Thrones took home the SAG award for Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Comedy or Drama Series.

As for the other two categories Kevin Spacey won for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series for his performance in House of Cards.  And the cast of Downton Abbey took home the award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.

Telltales’ Game of Thrones Series Episode 2 First Look

 

Telltale Games has just released the trailer for the second episode in the 2nd episode in their Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series.  Along with the trailer we have confirmation for the release date for all platforms.

The 2nd episode will continue directly after the events of the first.  If you haven’t played the first episode, Iron From Ice, I implore you to.  Iron From Ice does a fantastic job at introducing three of the five playable characters. And doing what I originally thought would be impossible to do in a video game, bringing the atmosphere from both the books and the show to life in a game.  From the looks of it the second episode will introduce us to the fourth playable character in the game, Asher Forrester, the exiled son who will be our eyes into Essos.  In episode one we saw some familiar faces from the show such as Tyrion, Cersei, Margaery, and Ramsay Snow.  Episode 2 will continue this trend by introducing fan favorite characters such as Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen.

HBO has just released its special trailer for the upcoming premiere of Game of Thrones in IMAX.  Not only does the trailer do a wonderful job of bringing back all the great memories from episodes 409 and 410, but it also gives us a glimpse at season 5 (and I mean it when I say glimpse).

Game of Thrones Season 5: A Day In The Life

HBO has just released the trailer for its upcoming Game of Thrones special.  The special titled Game of Thrones: A Day In The Life is a half-hour long and, according to Entertainment Weekly, will cover one day of shooting of season 5.  It will sprinkle in pieces from three different sets in three different countries – those being Belfast, Northern Ireland; Dubrovnik, Croatia; Sevilla and Osuna, Spain.

Game of Thrones: A Day In The Life will debut February 8, at 7:30 PM.

Game of Thrones IMAX Update

Since the announcement that Game of Thrones would be available in IMAX we’ve all been patiently waiting for the theater list to roll out.  After what seemed like an eternity, we finally have a few updates on this event.

Officially announced by HBO, the original start date for this event has been pushed back.  HBO and IMAX have decided, due to the large response of the event, to expand the opening and release the screening in more than the originally planned screening of 150 theaters.  Showings for this event will now start on January 29th, at 10 PM, and continue through February 5th.  Also keep an eye out, as tickets for this event go on sale January 16th.

Season 5 Premiere Date Announced!

In a recent press release HBO has finally confirmed the premiere date for the fifth season of Game of Thrones.  The fifth season will premiere on Sunday, April 12th, at 9PM ET.

Not only will Game of Thrones newest season be premiering on April 12th, two other popular shows will be joining that date as well – those being Veep and Silicon Valley.

Game of Thrones Coming to IMAX

For those of you who have dreamed about seeing Game of Thrones on the big screen, it would seem your dreams have finally been answered.  The New York Times has just reported that Game of Thrones is coming to IMAX for a limited time!

During the week of January 23-29, upward of 150 IMAX theaters across the United States will be playing “The Watchers on the Wall” and “The Children.”  Accompanying the final two episodes of season 4 will be a debut trailer for season 5!

The list of theaters that these episodes will be playing in have no yet been announced.  However it should be any day now, as tickets were supposed to go on sale Tuesday, January 7.  However as soon as the list of theaters is released you’ll be the first to know it!
